BARN FIND MUSCLE CARS AND HOT RODS
« on: April 23, 2014, 09:03:34 AM »
We stumbled upon this compilation of abandoned, wrecked and neglected musclecars that will make you sick to your stomach. It makes us wonder who abandons a ‘Cuda or leaves a first gen Camaro Z28 to succumb to the elements, or sticks a Mercury in a tree (anyone got a ladder?).

We guarantee that the neglect of the cars in this video will make you clench your first in a fiery rage. Many of these cars have been exposed to the elements for decades, some are littered in fields collecting rust while others even have plants growing through them.

The horrors of the video include a second generation Trans Am that’s being crushed by another car, a Chevelle with tires slashed on the side of the road that’s “not for sale”, what appears to be an AAR ‘Cuda on sawhorses that has “NOT 4 SALE” spray painted on its side, and a 1968 Dodge Charger stuck in a swamp. Superbirds, Daytonas, you name it, there’s probably one rotting away somewhere.

How did this get there?

As for how the cars end up in this condition, it’s always the same old story. The owner purchases it with the intention of restoring it but sadly life gets in the way and it becomes neglected. Instead of selling the car the owner claims he will “get to it one day” but the day never comes as decades pass.

There is also a field full of abused Corvettes just waiting to be saved. Is there any reason for this many cars to be sitting around waiting for someone who is willing to put them back on the road?

As a hot rodder it would be great if you could preserve and restore several of these classics? If you had to pick only one, which one of these American classics would you like to save from its eventual demise?
