Hello everyone

Hi all it's Jim from camaro-firebird.org, elpresidente as my mate oxbox says. Guess I should introduce myself as I haven't been here for about 3 years since I was part of the Darling Harbour display in 2007. Does the time fly or what?

Anyhow it's all good, nice to be here again. A bit about me I live at North Rocks and work for Qantas in maintenance. Also learning to be a helicopter pilot for the last 2 years and now 90% done towards my licence. Hopefully will pass my licence test before xmas. Have been offered part time work as a charter pilot when I finish.

My (p)ride is a 74 Trans Am 455, and daily driver a 99 Clubsport R8. Regards, Jim C.

Hello Jim and welcome as a fellow american muscle car enthusiast and fellow pilot.
I only fly fixed wing because i do not believe in flying in something does not have a wing
Nice 74 TA, I have restored one for a customer about 5 years ago with a tough 454 chev in it and never came back to collect it. I should own it but I am not that sort of person so i just left it stored until he shows up.
Good luck with your helicopter flying, i bet you know every nut and bolt in the R22's

Cheers, Chris.

Chris, I've got wings but they are rotary wings not fixed wings :fingers:

Will be good to meet a fellow pilot. I am getting an R44 endorsement also as they are the main chopper used for charter and tourism. R22 is the most popular for training.

Anyhoo thanks for the welcome all, 74 T/A's rule but I have to admit that 73 is my all time favourite. Will never part with my 74 though, I am not worthy

:thanks:
