Hot Cars, Hot Girls, Hot Music Makes For A Great Video ??
« on: October 02, 2013, 10:22:40 AM »
There’s no denying it: when you put hot girls with cool cars, or hot girls with great rock and roll music, you have a combination that grabs the attention of most any guy out there. Put all three together, and you have a combination that appeals to an even bigger audience, albeit for different reasons. When we came across a fan’s comment, sharing a video that included all three, we were intrigued.

The YouTube video above comes to us from Lionel Fietier, who lives in Mulhouse, France. Lionel, or Lion Hell as he is called by his friends and fans, shared a video with us about driving a Fastback in the 70s. The song is an original that he has written with his band OIL-LEN, which he tells us is another play on his own name. We felt that it was a pretty cool tune, so we asked him a little about it and the video.

“I made the video to celebrate the 20th anniversary of my band,” he told us. The fact that he chose to include a couple of our favorite things (cool cars and hot girls) made it that much more interesting to us. The cars in the video belong to friends of the band, and from the looks of the video they went to great lengths to put it together, it was very well done. What a nice collection of cars to check out, it’s nice to see that these cars are loved the world over.

Lionel told us, “I wrote the song because of my admiration of the Mustang Fastback and the year I was born.” The song seems like the singer is seeking something he’s not – Lionel said, “There is confusion with the car and the girl; when the singer says ‘gimme what I mean’ he’s referring to the car, not the girl!” The video was filmed in France on a military airstrip, perfect for a couple of “fly-bys”

We hate to say that it’s “NSFW” but some of the ladies are leaving very little to the imagination, and we feel it’s only fair to warn you. For a rock and roll group from France, we have to say they did a great job on the song and the video. And 20 years together? That’s almost unheard of, so our congratulations go out to Lion Hell, and his band mates. Lionel writes the words and music, and plays guitar, and his band mates Marcus Schickler does the vocals, Chris Burghard is on keyboards, Olivier Springer is on bass, and Cyril Filipp is on the skins.

Some of the cars in the video include a 1967 Mustang Fastback, a 1971 Chevelle, and who could miss the Cobra? There are a couple of nice trucks, too. You’ll also notice a familiar route is being taken on this Fastback 70s trip, right through our neck of the woods here in Southern California.

Imagine our surprise when we found out the band lives in France! Lionel said that he loves musclecars, and he hopes that one of these days he gets to come to America and cruise on Route 66. How cool is it that?
