I displayed my car there last year after I invited myself via facebook

Marc Anthony is a nice guy with a great show.

Man cave expo has a lot to offer with a nice range of exhibitors.

Let me know if you need to know anything about the show.

Ive been invited back this year. I dont think Marc knows Im part of this club though. Ill check with him. Otherwise it could be 5+1.

So in reply: Sign me up as one of the 5. Otherwise I will let you know if I can be a +1 considering I was already going.

Ill be monitoring this thread to see where it goes with attendance.

Cheers
Stan

Sounds allright. Cars usually taped off within touching distance to crowd and the metal buttons on their jeans?

I have my own floor covering/barricade/chain etc (6x4) (It comes down to personal choice though). I used that last year as the show attracts a lot of the "non-enthusiast" crowd as well, and they don't really know the rules about not touching. Lot of kids as well. I had to be somewhat vigilant over the two days.

If we have a number of cars coming, maybe we can do a group barricade. I'm not too sure if you guys have done that sort of thing before.

Parking rear to a wall (or similar area) at an angle would be ideal, that way we dont have to barricade the rear and we can possibly set up a small sitting area for us at the back.

Ill find out from Marc the organiser and see what we can come up with.

Cheers
Stan

I spoke to Marc the organiser today. I discussed the following with him...

When: July 14-15 (Sat & Sun) 9am to 5pm
Where: The Dome - Olympic Park Homebush

1. Where are the cars going to be positioned?
See attached image with designated area and entrance doors. The area designated for cars is about 20x30 metres. Cars will use a separate entrance to exhibitors.

2. What time is setup and departure?
You can setup as early as Thursday afternoon and all day Friday.
You cannot leave due to safety reasons until all spectators have left the show after 5pm on Sunday. Roughly 6pm.

3. How large is the space per car?
Roughly 6x4 metres. I am taking a guess from previous indoor car show experience.

4. How much distance is there between cars?
We will see during setup, but spacious enough to avoid crowding and congestion around cars.

5. Are you able to provide barricades or similar for cars?
Yes. There is a venue guy on site. Barricades are bollard and pull out tape style. Depending on length of tape in bollards I suggest 6-8 bollards per car.
Carpeting may also be available to keep all cars uniform.

6. Who will be there with the cars?
Company reps, some owners, a security presence, staff.

7. How many and what type of cars are you expecting?
Roughly 20 cars in that area, and some others around the dome. Lambos, Ferraris, Harleys, My Ford, Mercs, BMWs, other high end cars (TBA). Some more flavor would be nice, muscle cars, rods etc finished to a good standard. Its all about the eye candy.

8. Are you providing free entry for owners of cars?
Yes, you get a free exhibitor pass for the owner and a +1 for guest. Not transferable to other people.

Let me know if you need to know anything else. We spoke for a while.

I NEED A REPLY FROM PEOPLE BY SUNDAY 8TH JULY SO I CAN SORT OUT LOGISTICS WITH MARC

I will be setting up from roughly 11am on the Friday. I will be with/near my car from 9 to 5 both days. I can easily mind other people's cars should you be concerned about spectators and damage etc. I can also keep your car clean if you wish.

Cheers
Stan
