Another new scam..... three area's of being let down buy use of electronic searching and payment to people you don't know.. but seemed legit..
As some of us do..... you look up a web site for say accommodation needs.. a holiday weekender ..... for a week for the family.

http://www.stayz.com.au/The response comes back from the website accommodation listing company.... ..with the link to the owner/renter..

http://www.stayz.com.au/.. so you do .. and leave a $1070.00 deposit..... suggested to transfer to the Property Manager's account a business Visa or Mastercard... sounds ok.. since it is not going through a broking business and attracting 35% commission.. .. but. its..

THEY ARE NOT VETTED.. .. to get a listing.. apparently the "Property Manager" whoever they are... just supplies a picture of "a property".. probably the actual located property......makes it seem and sound legit..or better.. .. (who knows how many on how many sites).. and lists them with companies like for instance
http://www.stayz.com.au/The payer is using a bank credit card.. or another post office Load & Go card.. does not seem to matter.. its not YOUR BANKS FAULT.. but the receiver.. is apparently using the Post Office supplied traveling temporary "LOAD & GO" Mastercard.. an untrackable after its been drained of funds now quickly..
if it is halted.. they just go on line or to a post office and get another.. NO ID NEEDED... . Initial efforts have resulted in bank passing the buck to the post office .. who they don't operate the temporary cards.. .. they pass the buck to who ever it is that maintains the temporary card services. .they don't give any guarentee or support- to date.
They don't vet them to even see if they really operate the places illustrated...This has happened to a close relative in the last week.... who probably should have known better but since finding the listing on a reputable site.. figured it was ok.
Wonder how many airline tickets.. overseas accommodation deals etc.. are being scammed like this.. especially with now the Post Office Credit cards now being issued
