Hi,
Today was a good day. They seperated the odd and even numbers for qualifying as there was so many cars in the class (58). Mick qualifyed quickest of the odd numbers. There was a lot of oil on the track after a Torana exploded its oil everywhere around the back of the hill. The even numbers went out and Glen Seton was the quickest in that session, they then combined the two timed sessions and Mick was still on pole!
First race, they lined up for the start, the light went red the engines reved, then off they went, except Mick who was waiting for the green light, he realised there was no green light and he took off, at the second corner he was down the outside of Seton, but Seton got the line, Mick chased for a while but as usual his tyres and brakes were going off and the Capri of Seton was hanging in better. Mick ended up second.
The next race which was later in the afternoon we changed tyres and was looking forward to see if the new brand were going to be better, but there was a red flag in the previous race as we lined up on the dummy grid, about 45 minutes later they informed the drivers that there race had been cancelled.
Tomorrow is a new day and Mick will be starting 2nd and hopefully he will get a blinder of start and lead ;8 as the little Capri can keep going all day long.
Come over and say hi, we are located in the carports behind the pit garages (same place as last year)..
Hope to see you there!
Couple of shots from the day (internet is slow so will post more later) thanks Bigpond:D
