Dear Chris,
My Name is Natalie Luke I am the Motorsport and Entertainment Coordinator here at the
Australian Grand Prix Corporation.
We are looking to revamp our automotive avenues at the 2011 Formula One Grand Prix and
would like to create an "Americana Way" as one of our Avenues.
This area would be dedicated to displaying American Cars (From all eras).
We are looking to fill the space with 15 - 20 American Car and I was wondering if this might
be something members of the American Muscle Car Club of Australia would be interesting in?
We would be looking to have the cars on display from 24th - 27th March 2011 at the Albert
Park Circuit.(But we can be flexible on this)
Full Security will be provided for the area over the event as well a 4 day event pass for
the car owner and a guest.
I really hope this is something we can do and look forward to hearing from you!
Many Thanks,
Natalie

I went to the very first one in Adelaide in 1984 (I think). I had a great time and I'm sure it's come a long way since then. If you haven't been and the chance is there to go, you should.

Yep Greg, you're right. I drove my '68 Firebird (it wasn't even an old car back then) across (and back again). The car went great apart from having to replace a water pump whilst we were there.
