Woooohooo I won $70, that will get me to the next suburb in petrol money!!!!

won the trifecta for 33%..........paid $300 instead of the usual $3000+  :toetap:

Won the 1st 4 for 1%...........lost some as the payout needed to be more than $8000.

Oh well, I'm a couple of bucks up on the day.

Picked "Shocking - Americain - Shootout"   .. thought that those three nags would make a great headline in the morning if they had of all won...... sorta like reading the USPS's social club report .. .. but at least $20 each way  brings in some beer money for a change....!...:drink:

Bet $25 for win and $25 for a  place on Americain and was jumping for joy as they came down the home straight.

Also had $50 for a win and a place on the favourite so I came out collecting $502.50.


First time I've ever won in the Melbourne Cup!!!

Melbourne Cup should be a public holiday, Australia wide. The whole country stops at 12 anyway!!!

only follow nags on cup day and i always pick 3 horses which this year were Americain and Myluckyday (something like that) and shootout.

But right in the middle of the race my phone rings with an enquiry on a house. The whole of Australia was watching Channel 7 except for this 1 person (what a pita).

Sounds like a few club members had a good day and well done topless69
