Title: Wrecks to Riches GTO build
Post by: Bumblebee on August 04, 2009, 10:13:44 PM
They just built a beautiful electric blue '71 GTO (originally a le mans) on Discovery channel, with a top looking Butler 461 big block, very very nice.  I love that show.

You should watch it if they repeat during the week.

Looked real nice, try and see if there's a repeat! I could burn it to disk for you if someone can work out when it may be on again.

Sorry to be a p#ssant, but, the GTO was a separate model at that stage, ie GTO's had their own VIN no., so it's only a GTO clone (of a 1970 model) and Pontiac don't make big or small blocks. The external dimentions of the traditional Pontiac block (apart from the 301) are all the same. You can't tell the difference from a 326 and a 455 just by looking at it - unless you know where to look. ;L

Phew, glad you straightened that out, could have led to a huge problem for me be accused of misleading my fellow droolers! ;y
