Title: Makes you proud to be a car enthusiast
Post by: Bumblebee on August 04, 2009, 08:15:28 PM
Hi team,

Just thought I'd post up this pretty incredible story, hope you don't find it a problem.  Started out a week ago, one of the very enthusiastic long term Mustang forum members (Victory park), who purchased his first mustang, a 67 big block GT from O/S (that turned out to be in need of serious work) turns up under a new forum member name (Ponyona) that it's "for sale". A few of us recognise the car and wonder what's happened to the original forum member (Victorypark).

Well a whole lot of people start trying to connect with Victory park and he confirms he's "over it", very sad.  So a number of people start offering help, read the rest below, pretty amazing and all in the last few days:

Hope you enjoy this.

Bloody hell.  Got to give them credit.  Hope it all works out for him.

In relation to their server, it keeps going up and down.  Depending when you're online it may or may not be behaving itself.

Very disappointing, but there is more to this then meets the eye.  The guy has a chronic serious illness, probably not appropriate to discuss on the forum.

there is always more to everything that meets the eye .i stand by my original comment ...i wish my car was in as good a  condition as that car was  when it arrived in Australia !
The amount of effort put in to that car by others has not been respected (chronic serious illness or not)
if he does not have the money ..let the car sit in the garage (like we all do ) until he has the money to continue !
anyway i thought it was a con from the beginning !
sell it .........in all honesty after all the effort/time other have put in to that car how could you sell it ??? way to many good memories to let it go !
as for the method of selling it ...........that stinks........offer it up to some of the people that donated/worked on the car for a reasonable price
