For anyone that misses the Email update...
Good Afternoon Members.Your committee met last Saturday to discuss the changing restrictions and how we can get things moving again as a club.
We will have a slow start in June, then based on the likelihood of further reductions in restrictions, we will ramp up events from July onwards, but continue to ensure we follow all health and government guidelines as they change over time.
We will circulate events by email and post them on the forum. At this stage we don't plan to update the Events Calendar on our website as it requires a third party to update it when things change.
I will send a weekly email to all members when there is an upcoming event, further information may be provided in that email covering any changes to restrictions and any expectations of members for the chosen venue/event.
Other Key Points from committee meeting:
- Christmas in July is cancelled as the venue is quite small for Dinner, and we would not be able to adhere to current restrictions.
- Our annual Towradgi show will have to be cancelled for 2020 as it takes time to plan and organise, and we don't know at this stage what the restrictions, if any, would look like in September. We will be back in 2021 at Towradgi.
- We have started planning the Christmas party and sourcing a suitable venue (club, hotel etc) for this year.
- We have started working on the Annual Club Gift, sourcing suitable products and prices.
- Felix is contacting other club presidents to start planning for the annual Albury run in May 2021.
*****14th July**** All events deleted in light of changing covid rules and reduction to Max 10 persons in a group.Kevin
