How’s This For Confusion
« on: August 13, 2020, 05:16:40 PM »
Decided to replace the rear shocks on the Corvette again, in an attempt to rectify the bouncing fiberglass spring issue.
Apparently Bilstein’s B6 are the answer.
Been phoning everywhere and researching the net to get correct part numbers and pricing as these are expensive.
After getting heaps of conflicting information on part numbers, I contacted Bilstein Aust.
This was the reply,  :lol: :banghead:

Good Morning Glen,

It is both, In Germany they consider it a B6 and in America B8

The 2 part numbers available for this vehicle are;
24-184649 (B46 0956) – in the USA catalogue this is considered the B6 but in the German catalogue it is B6 Comfort
24-184571 (B46 0232) – In the USA catalogue this is considered the B8 but in the German catalogue it is B6 Sport

We have never sold the B46 0956 in Australia

Regards,

Unbelievable! Don’tcha just hate it when correspondence relayed from dedicated sophisticated respondents contains overcomplicated conflicting and confusing redundancy and waffle?
This wouldn't happen in a Utopian hegemonistic plutocracy with an autocratic intelligentsia supplemented by basic and irreversible logistical fundamentalism.
 :sorry: :burnout:
