Gear vendors

Hi all.

I found an old thread from 2011 regarding this topic, but no new info so I thought I would ask again. Has anyone on here had any experience with using a Gear Vendors OD unit. I’m about to do a rebuild on my 440 in the Roadrunner and don’t really want it sitting at about 3200 on the freeway at 110kph. Running 3.54 diff gears that I can’t go lower with, and want to keep the original 4 speed in the car, so this seems like the only solution.

Would love to hear of anyone’s experiences.

I can't say much about Gear Vendors....I have never used them. I have a TKO 600 behind my 550hp 426 Hemi and i reckon the best gearbox to have in a Mopar. Fifth gear comes in either .62 or .82 depends on your cam so correct selection is important. It can handle 600 foot pounds of torque which is more than your 440 will pump out unless you bolt on a 6-71. If you insist on staying with your A833 than you may want to look up Passon Performance in the US. Be warned.....their prices are up there. But....you own a Mopar so I am sure you are used to it.
