Dear fellow Grange Classic Garagers,
I will start firstly with the good.. Thank you all for your support. Apart from the item below, it was another great night. The weather was awesome and we welcomed a swag of new cars we had never seen at GCG before. A big thanks to the Fiat Club who rocked up with a few Abarths and a gorgeous 124. We also had the Mini brigade roll up. I am sure the Fiats and the Minis combined were still not as long as some of the regular Yank Land Yachts. Don't even worry about the stretched hearse that has a turning circle of 2.3 post codes lol....
Now sadly for the bad..
After the night, we sat around and had a quick chat about the incident that occurred on the night. For those that weren't there on the night, someone, in their infinite wisdom, decided to enter the premises and do a burnout just inside the front gates. Yes, you read correctly. Where all the mums and dads and KIDS walk around !! The mind boggles.. Well after that, we, Grange Classic Garage, have decided on the following and we hope we have your support; If it means we lose a few patrons, so be it.
Grange Classic Garage is a night for owners of classic cars and their families to get together and enjoy the atmosphere created by great cars, great music and great people.
IT IS NOT A BURNOUT COMP !!
If you want to show how good a burnout you can do, this is not the venue for you and you are not welcome to GCG. Its that simple. Our customer's health and safety comes first.
From the next event onwards, we will be setting up CCTV cameras at the gates and recording all cars entering and exiting the venue. The footage of the cameras will be made available to the police should the need arise. The choice is yours. If you want to attract attention by doing a burnout, we will give the footage to someone who will give you LOTS of attention.
We hope you understand and respect our stance on this.
Until next month; drive safely and good health to you all.
PS* Photos will be up as soon as possible..
