79 Trans Am - New owner and restorer
« on: September 29, 2014, 09:55:42 PM »
Hi Everyone

Brought home a. 79 Trans Am last weekend and I'm petty excited to get started on restoring the car to its former glory. Been a long time coming owning this car as I have memories of watching smokey and the bandit as a kid (like most other Trans Am owners).

This will be my first restoration and also first American Muscle Car.

My main motivation for this restoration is to drive it on weekends with family and create some new memories.

Also looking forward to club days and cruises.

Thanks

Bill

Welcome aboard Bill!
I'm pretty new myself. Similar situation (and car) to you. I'm a few months down the track but already I can vouch that there is a wealth of information available from club members eager to help.
You're in the right place!

Best rgds,

Jason.
