Ever looked up a tailpipe of an F/A-18 Super Hornet?......It's BLACK. The flame that comes out on take off at full afterburner is ......BLUE.

Ever looked at the exhaust pipes of a F1 at full throttle ...its red hot!! Just stick to plain woosy chrome tips or paint them black or blue ..whatever rocks your boat!!
