Thanks.

I sent him an email last Monday and am still waiting a reply.

Tried Butler Performance, Fbody, searched for days on google and emailed Pontiworld.

Closest I came to an oil slinger part was one for a hemi in NZ.

It seems my engine was running without one for a while.

The engineer in OZ noticed it missing when he pulled it apart to clean the block for the new parts.

It's not until now that I'm struggling to find a part.  Normally everything is available aftermarket for the TA.

Thanks for all the replies guys.

Leigh as far as I know it's a metal washer that deflects oil from the timer seal.  I think it sits inside the timing cover.

What's funny is I don't know what any of that is.  He he.

Just memorizing what the engineer told me.  Sounds good though.

Like Leigh, I've been in Pontiacs a long time.  I've never heard of a thing called an oil slinger in a Pontiac engine...

I had never heard of one before the engineer told me.

I then asked Butler in the states and he didn't flinch when I mentioned it.

Basically said he didn't have a used or new one.

I'm sort of stuck now.  Might explain why I can't find one.
