Chevrolet Camaro: Rumors state that the Camaro is on for model-year 2009. Insiders have confirmed that the production version is very, very close (nearly identical) to the concept car in regards to the exterior. Power is said to come from the 3.6L V6 and an optional 6.0L LS2 V8. GM’s Oshawa, Ontario, Canada plant is likely where this Camaro will call home.
Pontiac GTO: The Goat will go on a 24-48 month hiatus starting in 2007. While on hiatus, a new GTO will be in the works to arrive in 2008. It will share components with the Camaro, but insiders assure us that they will not share any sheet metal.
Further..2009/2010 on the drawing boards... on the probable re-introduction IN AUSTRALIA of a Torana... Pontiac G6: The G6 will likely move to a rear-wheel drive platform. The platform is possibly the "Beta" platform Holden developed for the Torana concept car. Engine possibilities are anyone's guess at this point.
