I had a massive fuel leak at the front of my T/A a couple of weeks ago.  Could of filled a bucket in 30 seconds.  Got a new fuel pump and hoses replaced.

Then the back started leaking.  Need to replace the metal fuel line but am struggling to source a part.  I asked my mechanic for one to be made up in stainless but he doesn't know anyone who can do it especially at such short notice.

If anyone has any contacts especially out Penrith way it would be appreciated otherwise I'm going to miss out on the fun as well.

Sounds like you have corrosion issues with the metal line. I normally run braided rubber hose all the way from the tank to the fuel pump.
Easy to work with and it will last the life of the car.

Question, did you change the oil after this happened?  If your petrol pump leaks onto the ground, it can also leak into the engine.  If the oil level is surpisingly high after this event, petrol has probably leaked into the sump and mixed with the oil.

Thanks for the idea Chris.  Any particular brand of hose that you think is better to use please?

Nah I haven't changed the oil since the leak Bonnevista.

I'll do that this week as a just in case before the weekend.

Thanks guys.

Aeroflow brand available from Rocket Industries. I have been using it for the last 4 years. You will need about 5 metres. Just make sure get the right inside diameter. It will be 3/8 inches I am sure.

Cheers, Chris.
