Forum Closure
« on: June 30, 2011, 08:48:54 PM »
:hello: at our club meeting last night it was discussed & voted to keep the forum going. We have lost 2 admin guys over the last 6 months because of certain posts & unseen lured remarks to them & about them. I had organized another person to take over the role for the next 6 months. Due to his work commitments he is now unavailable to commit to this position. So unless we can find someone with great computer skills the forum will be shut down on Monday. This is unfortunate but their is no other way out. We will still have our club web site with all the events posted, but you will not be able to reply to them. This is a huge disappointment to me being the founder of this club that a few members that have other ideas  can ruin what was a great asset to our club & the members that enjoyed posting will have that taken away from them as well. For the few that have  caused this you may have won a small battle BUT you will never win the war.

Well just close it down, you cant operate without an operator.
It will give you time to find a new person to take over.
Sponsors will be concerned it takes some goodwill to have so many buisnesses support the club through the web site.

Not every member has computer skills or a computer so they
dont even know about web sites etc.stay positive when socialising together on the road.

If the forum returns as we know it get rid of; say hi, lets talk
and other car events, stolen things, to most I think this has been to source of all difficulties experienced.

I enjoy checking in on the web but there has been nothing
interesting lately to chat about

Id like the again thank Joe for all his efforts and hard work
during the past few months running the web site great job
I sure this topic will get heated just close it temporally..cheers

It is a shame that the forum will close but I am sure after we get over this hiccup it will all return bigger and better than before.
Thank you to Joe, Cpu and Peterp for all the time and effort you have put into the forum since the beginning, we all know it has not been a easy job!

This is a real disapointment Garry. We do appreciate the time and effort by those involved in running the forum and the club as they do a great job.
Hopefully the forum can return soon... bigger and better!
