Just phoned the motel & booked in.  the lady at reception said that the rooms were ground floor & have under cover parking right out the front of the room.

All sounds good. Looking forward to it.

Yes if you are coming you have to book your own room & mention the American car weekend for your discount room cost is $100 per night checking in Friday 13th May & leaving Sunday morning, the phone # is 6025 4555 Siesta Resort.

Looks like we will have to book extra rooms the way this weekend is going I had 30 booked will increase it to 40 +now.

 here is what will be happening on this weekend.

Friday 13th.
 Victorian guys to make arrangements where to meet & cruise to Albury.
    Sydney members will be meeting at Pheasants Nest servo & leaving around 9 am & cruising down hopefully pick the ACT guys up along the way & stopping for a quick bite for lunch & fuel then onto Albury stopping at the Siesta Resort for the next 2 nights.
 Friday 13th.
A meet & greet sausage BBQ to get know everyone.

Saturday 14th.
  We will either be having a display in town to raise money for a charity or a drive through town & onto our cruise to Beachworth to have a look around this old town that is famous for it's bakery then onto somewhere else Steve that owns the Siesta has Corvettes & will be coming on the cruise with us he is mapping out the run. Returning back to the motel where we can have a set dinner there or another option is a woolshed outer town that the owner has said that he will organise buses to get us there & back ?
Sunday 15th.
  Meeting for breeky at the motel & a short cruise to maybe a winery & then say goodbye to everyone & make our way home.

Costs Resort $100 per night for the room. This cost is discounted from $140.
The resort has discounted the Big breeky to $12 from $19.

 I think our club will cover the cost of the Friday night BBQ or put a raffle onto cover the cost?

The Siesta Resort Ph # is 6025 4555. People have to make there own bookings & when making it they have to mention the American car weekend to get the discount.

I have just received an email from the 60's American Muscle car club in Victoria  they have 12 members wanting to go already & I was told there will be a lot more when it goes onto there web site, this will be a great weekend which I think will be on every year.  Albury council called me the other day & there will be a Beetles weekend on at the same time (thats the band not the cars) so it should all add up to an exciting time.

:mad:  Sadly Chris i have done the sums and i will now have to take the 300c, i will have to put up with Air Cond, good sound system, cruse control & good seats its just not fair.

the motel with the response they have had has increased to rooms to 55 put aside for this great weekend.

everyone I am just :bump:ing this up as the motel rooms are filling fast if you are coming I don't want you to miss out on what will be a weekend. You only need to leave a small deposit on the rooms at the moment.
