cheers chris.

Hi guys,
Sorry for butting into your p#ssing contest:rol:
Chris, do not forget you have a 4 speed auto in your horse which means you are in overdrive when you are doing 65 @2000.
Blockers C4 is at 1:1 in top gear. The rest is mathematics.

Which works out about 3.9:1 diff gears. That took me about 3 seconds to figure out.

It makes you wonder why the Yanks didn't get into overdrive transmissions at a much earlier time.  It would've made a lot of cars in the muscle car era a lot more user friendly.

Bonny Chris, did not Pontiac offer a 4 speed auto option in the Bonneville line back in the early sixties?
I used to own a 64 Bonny coupe with a 421 and 4 speed auto when i was a puppy but i can not remember if 4th was overdrive or not.
Help me!

The 55 olds is a 4 speed auto but 4th is 1.1  1st is 3.82, 2nd 2.63, 3rd 1.45 but with ratios like that i'm sure the diff will be very tall.
