Gav
I spent 3 years rebuilding my car from the ground up it is documented what i did but not on this website

I actually enjoy the banter here ,people actually use their cars.........banter goes on during cruises as well ! !!!!!!!!

there are plenty of places to ask tech questions even on here there is a tech forum or 2 there are several thousand tech forums in the usa

i have looked around that usmuscle.com.au and have found it not that interesting ,thats why i never joined it
btw interesting tech question i noted !

edit
btw bare metal prep is strip and clean off with prepsol then etch prime ,do not use the spray cans as they cost around $30 each ,buy it in the 1 litre tins ...get an old (or cheap spray gun) and leave the etch in that ,it does not go off and litre tins are $20 from memory !.....then when you are ready to hi fill scuff it up and apply 3 coats of primer !

It appears that most people with USA cars on forums in Aus tend to put their cars in to shops to get them fixed !

You don't have to be a club member to be a forum member , but yes you will find most people posting here are club members , not everyone has the talent or the tools to do a good job on restoring so we leave that to the experts , yeh i could try and do it myself but if it looks likes sh@t then whats the point, as for the banter its all in good fun , hell you can just imagine what its going to be like here at our house, i have a mustang and the wife is waiting for her 55 olds to arrive , there are a good mix of cars here its just the mustanger's seem to be more active................. Ok im waiting for it :boxing:

.... what those poor Mustang owners really aspire to is a big dose of GM grunt... power beyond the pose... no need for jackets, caps, belt buckles and handbags or  to hang at Maca's on Sunday morning ... They sleep dreaming (acts like Viagra for them too....!)  .... that IF ONLY .. FORD could have made just maybe one other really memorable muscle type car in the 60's.. they could have a choice.. like the GM guys did with Chevelle, GTO, 442's, Firebird Trans Am, Camaro,  Tri-power big block full size and over powered Catalina SD's... not to forget Corvette....... it reads like a who's who of Mechanical Musclecar Legends doesn't it.. :exact:....
Mustangs.. ... Yes...... Ford Galaxies.. umm.. ... How about Torino's ... nuh... Maybe a Mercury Comet.. !... or a Future "S" or a Grand Torino ...... there must be something more then that in the Ford Muscle Car Legends Book surely..... that's thinner  then the "great Labor Leaders of the 21st Century" :rain:

    umm :fantastic:
