If you come up for oxygen at some point, you'll find the 69 and 70 BOSS 429 is also a Hemi (but not the 71 onwards as they are de-stroked 460s).
.

:rol::rol::rol:You thought I'd actually include something from Ford in one of my posts:rol::rol::rol:

Sincere apologies, I thought as forum superhero you'd be balanced, you know, a chip on each shoulder not just one!

Technicaly the  old Victa lawn mower was a Hemi.
And i might be wrong, but i think it was Jag who had the perfect Hemispherical shaped head.

Not!!... there is only ever one Hemi and that is a Chrysler product. Sorry  FoMoCo n GM guys but its licenced. Please scribe this to your foreheads,HEMI=MOPAR! lol " check out my 429 Hemi", err...I dont think so.Engineering ripoffs dont really count do they?
So please dont insult us Mopar guys!
No 429 is a "Hemi",[ careful,Mother Mopar may sue you under copyright]  Its just a wannabe Hemi needing to sell units so calling itself a semihemi via ripoff marketing!lol.
Same reason  Frawd used a succesful 60s-70s Mopar Superstock racer's name to help sell its cars, Ronnie 'The Boss" Sox.. What lame Frawd marketing. [ I just guess Ford couldnt come up with a FoMoCo winning SuperStock drivers name to use in the late 60s lol]

later Dave

ps "By the end of 1971 all production Hemis were history"

Really, I thought they were back in production?

Oops sorry Dave,  I must have confused reality (i.e. every other manufacturers Hemi design), with marketing and copyright, i.e. Mopar!:gotya::gotya:

If the term Hemi is licensed, how dow you explain this magazine advertisment.
Admittedly, it's very old, but at the time, if Chrysler held the rights to the term 'Hemi', you couldn't advertise Hemi heads for Pontiac engines.

Here's a modern advertisment that mentions that mentions Pontiac Hemi all over the place.

Yes, you can buy Pontiac Hemi heads right now - they won't be cheap, but you can buy them.

They are back in production as an aftermarket equipment by Mopar Performance not as a fitment to current production vehicles.  :pat:

It would be cool to see one in the Prowlers engine bay tough....

PS. I admire your Mopar enthusiasm
