After the success of last year's dinner at the spactacular Bombora restaurant in Wollongong, we are now organising a cruise on Saturday the 20th of February through Stanwell Park and across Seacliff bridge for a stop at Headlands pub for an afternoon refreshment (optional), followed by a short drive to Bombora at Wollongong beach for a dinner at 7.00pm.
For anyone opting for the full tour of duty we'll be leaving Heathcote Caltex at 3.30, so meet at 3.15 pm. Otherwise, meet at the Heathcote Caltex at 6.00pm for a 6:15pm departure. The restaurant is licenced, but allows byo wine (once again Garry, Corona is not wine!). We are only allowed to book for forty people (I negotiated 10 more than last year) and based on the response last year, we probably already have over half of that accounted for.
We will need to pre-order our food, so the menu will be posted shortly, but it's very reasonably priced and the view is magic. Please rsvp with who and how many seats you'd like to this post so we can compile the list of acceptances and ensure we don't over commit. I'll keep posting how many seats are left as we go. First in best dressed.
