Hi Chris,

We truly had a ball, the cars were great and about 400 Mustangs in Ballarat at the same time was really a great sight (the Studebakers were also in town for their concours).  They had a great observation run that ended in Daylesford (a bit like Leura) and some fun dinners. Like all these things, when you get people who love their cars in one place, great friendships are forged.

The drive there was with about 9 other cars which made it far more fun and helped the time go by.  We were also lucky that there were two very large hot rod shows on the same weekend, one in goulburn and another in victoria somewhere, so it was a constant procession of hot rods going in the opposite direction on the way there.

You would have had a ball and would certainly won any burnout contests as it was a very well behaved affair!  We should work to see if Mal and Maureen, Dave and Robyn, Hev and Vicky, you and the lovely Sharon, Paul and Marion, Steve and Maggie (and any other Mustangers) and we could go as a group to Glenelg in Adelaide.

BTW, what is it with all the mini mokes, we must have seen at least 6 on the trip back!

Forgot to mention that we met ron and carol minogue, kylie and danii's folks at the nationals.  Really nice people, ron was the vice president of the victorian mustang club and has a beautiful red 68 GT350 Shelby which he's raced for the last 9 years.  It was superchared for many years but is now running a 347 stroker and a T-5z gearbox from the US.  Really trick interior seats and some great racing stories.  Amazing who you meet.

BTW, mum looks just like the girls, but a little older of course!

It's generally better than the girls looking like Dad.  It's one reason I'm glad I only have sons.
